This is something you will keep forever. So make sure that you put some thought into it. Check different sites to get an idea of what you would like to get. To me it seems if you put your little touch on it you will like it more. An example for me is that I find a potential tattoo. Then I search for other items to add to it. Then I go to an artist and give him my idea. The artist I am talking about is different than the artist you plan on giving you the tattoo. My artist takes my idea and draws it up. Now if you can draw your own that makes your tattoo even more personnel for you. I don’t draw very well so I have someone draw it up for me. It may take a couple of times to get what I am thinking of but the time is worth it. Then when I have decided on the design I make an appointment for the tattoo. This is done usually within a month. That gives me enough time to make sure this is what I want. Then I make sure that where I want it is good and I like it. I also am able to make any changes that I want to it. To me a tattoo is something special. I make sure that it is what I want and where I want it.
The day of the appointment I don’t make any changes to my design. But when I get to the tattoo appointment I ask them their pinion about where it will go and the design. Mine knows me so he will give a finishing touch on it or may decide to do it then maybe put some color or shading into it. I trust him to know what I would like. I have been going to the same one for years. He knows what I like and dislike.
When it is done we both look at it. I am always amazed at his work. When a tattoo is on you it is exciting. To me it is better than any drug there is to take. So I am gee ked the whole time. I also am able to watch the whole procedure taking place. That is special in any shop. I have seen a lot of shops that don’t have mirrors so you can watch if you want.
That is my take on getting a tattoo. It is special and addicting at the same time. So make sure it is what you want, has some meaning for you and is done professionally.
